If you miss a scheduled appointment with a notary public on USOnlineNotaries.com, a cancellation fee of $50 will be applied. This fee compensates the notary for their time and effort in preparing for the appointment.
2. Required Documentation
Before any notarization can take place, you must provide valid identification. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- State-Issued Driver's License
- Passport
- Military ID
- Other government-issued photo ID
2.1 Inability to Verify Identity
If you are unable to verify your identity using the provided documentation, the notary will be unable to proceed with the notarization. In such cases, a $50 fee will be deducted from your refund. This fee compensates the notary for their time and effort in preparing for the appointment.
3. US Address Requirement
To use USOnlineNotaries.com, you must have a prior or current US address. This is required to verify your identity. If you schedule and appointment and do not have this information at the time of the appointment ID verification will not be possible and the appointment will need to be cancelled or rescheduled. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied to your refund.
4. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
To comply with legal requirements and enhance security, we require that your SSN or ITIN has been reported to the US credit bureaus. This information is necessary for identity verification and fraud prevention.
